This is a rare March 27th, 1961 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the one-character play "THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING OSCAR" at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City. (The Original West End production opened October 31st, 1960 at London's Apollo Theatre and transferred on January 23rd, 1961 to the Royal Court Theatre for three additional weeks. The production then crossed the Atlantic, opening March 14th, 1961 at New York's Lyceum Theatre and closed after only 31 performances.) ..... Based on the letters of OSCAR WILDE, the play starred MICHAEL MAC LIAMMOIR .....
